Can’t Beat BBQ Beets


 
I grew up not hating many foods but beets was one I never liked. As the years passed, I used to test myself at buffets to see if I still disliked them. Sure enough, every time it was confirmed.
Then I realized

By the way, these can also be done in foil. If you do them wrapped in foil like a potato, then butter is a great addition.

Ingredients

4 medium sized beets, peeled and quartered
Salt
Pepper
Cooking spray

Directions

Preheat outdoor grill to high.

Don’t forget to strip the greens. They make a great salad addition

Chili powder or brush with hot sauce for a little spice. Beets take spice well.
The beets I got were on sale by the bunch and so I got the bigger ones because they weigh more.
Save the leaves, they go great in salads.
